There are a few banned words here at Katie Porter HQ.
One is impact. As Katie says, impacting is what meteorites do when they land on a planet. But when we’re talking about issues, we tell voters in detail what the effect on them will be. For example, Katie’s introduced legislation that won’t just impact families—it would lower taxes for Californians making less than $400,000 per year.
Katie also doesn’t like to be referred to as ‘the boss.’ She believes that our campaign is a team effort—made up of organizers, thousands of volunteers, and hundreds of thousands of grassroots donors.
When you donate, volunteer, or tell a CA-47 voter about Katie, you are an important part of Team Porter. We have an end of month goal of receiving 300 contributions through this email. That will help us stay on track as we run ads, open up field offices, and hire staff.
