More than 150,000 people have joined our call to take Fox "News" off
cable, and now former president Barack Obama is joining the call against
disinformation as well.

In a speech, President Obama talked about the problem with spreading
disinformation, saying that it floods a “country’s public square with
enough raw sewage” that “citizens no longer know what to believe.”(1) (And
of course, Tucker Carlson responded by calling President Obama a
“full-blown fascist.”(2))

Fox "News" is dangerous to people and our democracy, and we need to ramp
up our pressure. We have helped drive more than 150,000 signatures to
cable companies asking them to drop Fox News. With your help, we can help
raise that number to a quarter of a million and beyond.

It’s not just that Tucker Carlson and Fox "News" are telling lies. It’s
that those lies are explicitly encouraging dangerous behavior.

Carlson said that parents should “beat up” and “thrash” teachers who have
raised the issue of gender in the classroom.(3) He said that people should
assault mask-wearers during a pandemic.(4)

And he said that the U.S. should withhold aid to Ukraine because of false
allegations against its president, which would cost lives.(5)

As President Obama said, “One of the biggest reasons for democracy’s
weakening is the profound change that’s taken place in how we communicate
and consume information.”(6) Fox "News" has proven itself to be one of the
biggest purveyors of this disinformation, and it must be stopped.

call to deplatform Fox "News" from Comcast, Charter, and the rest of the
