Hi John,
April was a busy month for us. In the last month, we were able to do a lot – thanks to you. Here's a quick recap:
NIAC Action Board Election [[link removed]]
On April 6, we announced the two newest members of the NIAC Action Board: Sarah Sakha & Maryam Attarpour. Our board is one of the many ways we’re building political power for Iranian Americans in D.C. and around the U.S.
Primary Endorsements [[link removed]]
NIAC Action released its first slate of primary endorsements ranging from Shervin Aazami in California to Anna Eskamani in Florida. These incumbents and new candidates have proven themselves dedicated to diplomacy and peace and embody our community’s interests.
NIAC and NIAC Action Academies Launch [[link removed]]
We created this initiative to build a strong, deep bench of Iranian-American leaders through specialized training and fellowships. We aim to bring more Iranian Americans to the table to be impactful changemakers.
Congressional Fellowship [[link removed]]
Through our Academies, we created a paid Congressional fellowship for one Iranian-American student or recent grad to work in a Congressional office and liaise with NIAC - this a direct extension of the Academies’ primary goal to form a new generation of Iranian-American leaders in D.C.
Organizing Fellowship [[link removed]]
To build lasting power, we need to embed fellows in communities and college campuses across the country to support or even run campaigns and advance key initiatives like getting people registered to vote and getting word out about our community and education programs as well as our growing electoral work.
Thank you, John. These initiatives are not possible without your continued support. To make May just as successful as April, can you donate $10 today? [[link removed]]
Contribute [[link removed]]
Gratefully,
Jamal Abdi
