It’s been a wild couple of days in Florida politics so I wanted to reach out personally to make sure you were up to date.
Last week, Ron DeSantis rammed through his own unconstitutional redistricting plan over the objection of Democrats. [[link removed]] DeSantis’s racist move protected his GOP buddies while making races like mine more competitive. While the new maps are already being challenged in court, it looks like they are here to stay.
That means that my district — Florida’s 15th — is now officially a toss-up and one of the most competitive districts in the entire country. [[link removed]] Our new district is split pretty evenly even Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. We can flip this seat, but first, we have to defeat my extreme GOP opponents.
Right now, I’m up against a far-right “MAGA mom” who thinks Disney is “perverting” our kids and Joe Biden is “destroying” America. Congress already has one Majorie Taylor Greene — they don’t need another one!
I need your help. [[link removed]] Our end-of-month deadline is tonight at 11:59 PM and we must reach our goal to power our grassroots campaign through these changing times.
Our district lines may have changed, John, but I’m not going anywhere. I’m determined to be your voice in Congress so I’m asking for your support.
