We know—the news out of Washington has been overwhelming recently.  There are so many big issues facing our country, including threats to our national security and the safety of our communities as well as the high cost of health care.

Houstonians sent Lizzie to Congress to address those issues and many more, and that’s what she’s been doing -- working with colleagues in the House on both sides of the aisle to get it done.  So far, the House has passed bills to:

- Secure our elections & protect voting rights

- Make us safer with common-sense gun safety measures

- Lower health care and prescription drug costs

- Fund the government

And this is just the beginning.  There are more than 275  bipartisan bills that the House has passed that are waiting in the Senate for consideration.  And there are many more on their way through the House.
