An America United Releases New Video: “Peace Through Strength”
<[link removed]>
    <[link removed]>
On the week of the seventh anniversary of the 2015 Baltimore riots, An America
United released a new video, highlighting Governor Hogan’s leadership during a
challenging period for the city.

In contrast to the failed responses to riots across America in the Summer of
2020, Governor Hogan immediately returned law and order to Baltimore by
deploying 4,000 national guard and 1,000 state police officers. According to
Governor Hogan, “this was Ronald Reagan’s idea, peace through strength.”
However, he also walked the streets of Baltimore, meeting with community
leaders and hearing their concerns.

“When Baltimore needed a leader to secure the peace, Governor Hogan showed
what it means to put people before politics. Seven years later, as cities
across America suffer the consequences of failed leadership in the Summer of
2020, America needs more leaders to recognize that strength and compassion do
not have to be mutually exclusive.” — David Weinman, An America United
Executive Director

New Poll: America’s Three Most Popular Governors Are Republicans in Deep-Blue
States
<[link removed]>
A new poll once again shows that Americans support common sense conservative
leaders who reject the political extremes of both parties and work across the
aisle. The Morning Consult poll found that all three of America’s most popular
governors are Republicans in blue states, including Governor Hogan at 71%
approval. In this turbulent age, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, Massachusetts
Governor Charlie Baker, and Vermont Governor Phil Scott have all consistently
maintained sky-high approval ratings for years.

In contrast, President Biden continues to hold
<[link removed]>
historically low approval ratings. According to Axios, “only President Trump
had a lower approval rating at this stage in his presidency, when compared with
all U.S. presidents elected to their first term in office dating back to
President Eisenhower.”

While divisiveness and dysfunction dominates Washington, the evidence proves
that Americans are hungry for competent, civil, and common sense center-right
leadership.

Last year, according to the FBI director, there was a 59% increase in the
murders of police officers—an unconscionable trend.

We need to stop demonizing and sabotaging the dedicated men and women who risk
their lives every single day to keep the rest of us safe.

Seven years ago, the worst violence in 47 years broke out in Baltimore.

As America suffers the consequences of failed leadership in 2020, we owe a
debt of gratitude to law enforcement, national guardsmen, and Baltimoreans who
responded with strength and compassion in 2015.pic.twitter.com/TaRrBsaQQm
