Do you think Medicare should negotiate lower prices for prescription drugs?

Dear friend,

For too long, many Pennsylvanians have been forced to make impossible choices: Do I pay for my child's medicine, or keep a roof over my family?

As seniors and families continue to struggle with these tough decisions at pharmacy counters in Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Hazleton, and across the country, drug companies continue to pad their profits.

The reality is, Pennsylvanians can no longer afford to wait for lower prescription drug prices. They need bold action from Congress—NOW.

Discussing Health Care Concerns with the Zemek and Stefanelli Families After the Health Care Town Square in Wilkes-Barre

That’s why I’m proud to support the Lower Drugs Costs Now Act, critical legislation designed to protect Americans’ pocketbooks from drug companies. Among other things, this bill will:

  • Empower Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices.
  • Limit Medicare beneficiaries’ out-of-pocket prescription drug costs.
  • Enable both Medicare beneficiaries AND Americans with private health insurance to access more affordable prescription drugs.

In the coming weeks, I will continue working across the aisle to make prescription drugs more affordable. The bottom line is simple: no family should have to choose between paying their monthly bills and paying for medicine. If you have a minute, please complete this SHORT survey

Sincerely,

Matt
