With so much at stake in our next elections, it’s crucial that we hold our Democratic House majority so that we can continue our work to protect the Affordable Care Act, combat the climate crisis, and enact common-sense gun safety reforms.

But if we’re going to deliver real progress to the American people, we also need to end Mitch McConnell and national Republicans’ obstruction and gain a Democratic majority in the Senate.

That’s why I’m proud to have filed the paperwork today to officially launch my 2020 re-election campaign alongside my fellow Illinoisan Senator Dick Durbin.

Senator Durbin introduced the Dream Act in 2001 and has been a champion in the fight to protect our immigrant brothers and sisters from the GOP’s inhumane, xenophobic agenda. He’s exactly the kind of leader we need in the Senate.
