Hello, Friends —
This week in Congress was marked by the testimony of some controversial Biden administration officials, along with important consideration of the Air Force's FY23 budget request. Moreover, the House of Representatives took its biggest vote of the week yesterday on S. 3522, the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act of 2022, which passed 417-10. While Congress voted in support of this measure, I was joined by 9 colleagues who also saw though this ruse to enable President Biden to send any weapon other than nukes to Ukraine and to waive the requirement for the U.S. to be repaid in a timely manner. I support weapons for Ukraine, but I oppose waiving America's future rights for repayment. This week also involved some contentious but necessary committee hearing moments, as well as some essential points raised on my podcast, Firebrand with Matt Gaetz.

In this week's House Judiciary Committee on DHS Oversight, I made it crystal clear to Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that he is derelict in his duty to protect America's border. The Secretary's inability to deport 1.2 million illegal aliens who roam free in our country is unacceptable. We must turn the tide on this and fight for America as a sovereign nation!

When Biden’s Secretary of the Air Force admitted that China is currently “more capable” than the U.S. regarding hypersonics, during Wednesday's House Armed Services Committee hearing, he directly contradicted Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s claim just weeks ago. We must continue to push for clarification and transparency from our leaders, as U.S. strength at home is the only way to protect us from threats abroad.

I joined Tucker Carlson on Fox News this week, where we discussed the breaking revelation of a Republican leadership acting against President Trump. This notion that you can have these clandestine calls and try to foment action against Republicans by Big Tech and DOJ is not fitting of leadership. Tune-in for more!

Sparks fly on Capitol Hill as Gaetz squares off with Mayorkas and brings the goods
“I think it’s telling that you got plans for pronouns and you got plans for misinformation,” Gaetz said, pressing the issue, “but when it comes to the plan to remove the people that have had due process, you don’t have one at all. Now 800,000 people, have encountered your CBP agents, and those folks have been released into the country, like, some of those people commit crimes, aren’t they?”
