John, Republicans just got called out for their gerrymandering in Kansas! Here’s what a state district court had to say about the congressional map that legislative Republicans enacted over the veto of Democratic Governor Laura Kelly:
“[The map] is also unconstitutional on the independent and distinct ground that it dilutes minority votes in violation of the Kansas Constitution’s equal rights and political power clauses.”
Every win must be celebrated because redistricting is a state-by-state, case-by-case, and dollar-by-dollar battle between fair map advocates and map manipulators.
