Friend, it’s Shane, Chrissy’s campaign manager again, reaching out to share an important yet troubling update from PA-06. I know this isn’t the first time you’ve heard from me, but bear with me, because this is important.
Last week, the Daily Local, a local Chester County newspaper, published an article about Republican Congressional candidate Ron Vogel titled “Social media posts from Congressional candidate called into question.”
The article highlights social media posts made by Mr. Vogel containing “elements of anti-Semitism, sexism and racially tinged language.” I loathe to even type this, but the posts include a song called “Hitler Was A Sensitive Man,” a parody song about Adolph Hitler and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Another one uses the n-word.
Let’s be clear: nothing about these posts is funny or acceptable. They are deeply, deeply offensive. Any individual who would post them lacks the judgment and character to represent the good people of our community in Congress.
Here’s where it becomes even more troubling.
After the article was published, Vogel suspended his campaign, but just a day later, he got right back in the race, claiming he wants to “bring people together.” Nothing is further from the truth.
Republican Primary voters across the district need to know that the initially recommended candidate of both the Berks and Chester County Republican parties, Ron Vogel, must be stopped. He is the Trump-aligned candidate in the race who will prioritize President Trump’s Make America Great Again agenda. He’s even gone so far as to cast doubts on President Biden’s victory in the 2020 election.
Chrissy continues to dedicate her life to public service. She represents our community tirelessly, with civility, compassion, and sound judgment. She brings us together. Mr. Vogel’s xenophobic, racist, and reckless campaign is designed to tear us apart. Our community deserves sound leadership, and we simply cannot afford to let him win this election.
Thanks for your attention and for your ongoing support – it makes all the difference. The stakes could not be higher. There’s work to be done.
Sincerely,
Shane Wolfe
