CNN has just obtained thousands of text messages that Trump’s former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows sent and received in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.

I won’t lie to you: what we’ve discovered is dangerous – and we should all be scared of the extremists who are determined to undermine our democracy.

Meadows received countless messages filled with conspiracy theories and efforts to promote the Big Lie. Marjorie Taylor Greene even floated the idea of invoking martial law.

We cannot afford to lose the House this November. Republicans incited an insurrection and then covered up a coup – their extremism has no place in the halls of Congress.
