John -- I'm Sean, James' finance director.

I keep track of our numbers and make sure we'll have the resources to fund our operations, including everything from printing canvassing materials to hosting events.

John, will you chip in to make sure we can reach our end-of-month goal on Saturday?

I know Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but I'm worried we won't reach our goal.

James isn't taking a dime from corporate PACs, and I'll be honest: That's good for governing but it's not as good for raising money for an expensive campaign.

And here's why: Other campaigns can take in tens of thousands of dollars at a time from special-interest groups and wealthy donors -- not us. We take in a few dollars here and there from grassroots supporters like you.

That means this campaign is about Tennesseans -- not special interests. It also means that we have to work twice as hard to reach goals and give our campaign steam.

We have a lot of work to do if we're going to send James to the Senate and take back the Majority. Rush in a contribution before the end-of-month deadline →

Thanks and talk soon,

Sean
