John,
Let me be blunt: fundraising is the worst part of running for Congress. I hate it — it’s awkward asking for money, and it’s not how I was raised.
But, I know it’s a necessary part of a winning campaign. And we’re doing it the right way: not taking a dime from corporate PACs, and instead relying on individual supporters like you, John.
It might make fundraising harder, but it’s the right thing to do. Elections deserve to be won by the voices of hard-working people, not billionaires buying politicians or political elites in backrooms.
So, John, with just over 24 hours until our April end-of-month fundraising deadline, I’m sorry, but I have to ask:
If it’s in your budget today, can you please pitch in $5 or more to our campaign to help us reach our April goal before tomorrow night?

With gratitude & high hopes,
Josh Riley
