A lot of folks are looking for the best way to have an impact on the 2020 election. I may be a bit biased, but here are my two cents: one of the most effective ways we can make progress in this country will be by flipping the Senate.

As you know, I have been working my tail off to help Democrats win across the map in 2020. That’s why today, I want to take a moment to write to you about my good friend and colleague from the state next door, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin.

Dick is filing the paperwork to officially kick off his re-election campaign in Illinois today. Keeping Illinois blue will be critical in the fight to elect a Democratic Senate majority. And we need to give Dick’s campaign the strongest possible start to keep right-wing super PACs from targeting his race in 2020.
