 John — you may have heard that a few days ago, we went up with our first ads of this campaign. One of these ads focuses on my family and my record. I spent part of my childhood on a base where my dad served in the Navy. I married my high school sweetheart. All my life I’ve tried to live by the values we teach our kids — to help others and do what’s right. Throughout my time in public service, I’ve taken on powerful institutions on behalf of those who have been wronged — and as Governor, I’ll work with anyone to get things done for Pennsylvania. Our second ad tells the story of Alexis, a registered nurse who took on student loans to get her degree. She made her payments on time, but the amount she owed just kept going up. My office took on those predatory lenders, and helped borrowers like Alexis become debt-free — once again taking on corporations trying to screw over Pennsylvanians. It’s so important that these ads get seen by as many voters as possible before the primary in just two weeks.
