Our democratic republic is under attack, John. So here at Democracy Defense Fund, we’ve come up with a plan to fight back.

Before I take you through our step-by-step plan to save our country from far-right extremism, will you chip in $25 to help us hit our $100,000 launch goal by midnight?

In the hours after the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, the vast majority of Republicans in the House voted against certifying the 2020 election results.

Since then, Senate Republicans have filibustered voting rights bills and pro-democracy legislation. In state legislatures across the country, Republicans are ramming through voter suppression and subversion laws.

Here at Democracy Defense Fund, we’ve come up with a multi-layered approach to fight back against the GOP’s attack on our democracy.

Step 1: Hold the House — We will support candidates and members of Congress who work to expand and protect the right to vote. And we will target Republicans who voted against certifying the 2020 election results.

Step 2: Save the Senate — We will fight to keep a Democratic majority in the Senate, supporting those who are willing to get rid of the filibuster in order to pass voter protection laws and approve President Joe Biden’s judges, the last line of defense in protecting our right to vote.

Step 3: Take the fight to the states — More than 440 voter suppression bills were introduced across 49 states in 2021. We’re investing in flippable state legislature and Secretary of State races and will direct expenditures to local races that have the potential to impact the electoral certification process as well as the outcome of elections.
