There have been some new developments in Mike’s campaign to keep CA-49 blue. Here are 3 things you should know:

1. Yesterday, a Kevin McCarthy-aligned super PAC announced an investment of at least $1.6 million for TV attacks against Mike. We expected GOP dark money flooding our airwaves, but not this early.

2. Elections analysts at Cal Matters recently downgraded our chances of keeping CA-49 blue to a “TOSSUP.” Our district’s slight shift in Republicans’ favor after redistricting is making this Mike's toughest campaign yet.

3. In roughly one week, ballots begin arriving at voters' mailboxes for the June Primary. This will be the first evaluation of where voters stand in the newly-drawn 49th district and the strength of our grassroots movement.

Mike is hard at work passing important legislation to move the country forward. And at home, he’s spending time with voters at town halls. But we must prepare for a tough re-election and ramp up our outreach efforts.
