Fellow Patriot,

This week, my team at America First Legal, with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, and representing the State of Texas as outside counsel, sued Biden’s DOJ and DHS over a new rule that would radically reshape the asylum system and would eviscerate any remaining shred of immigration law in our country.  

This scheme, created in the form of a DHS and DOJ Interim Final Rule, would transfer the duties of immigration judges to asylum officers–a change that will result in the approval of countless meritless asylum claims from aliens who unlawfully enter the United States.

Once the power to delay deportation and grant asylum passes from judicial authorities to politically appointed “asylum officers” there can be no doubt that illegal immigration would explode and mass amnesty would be quickly implemented- and that is very obviously the Biden Administration’s exact plan.

Under the phony guise of asylum, this extremist regulation—the most extreme immigration regulation ever proposed—would in fact demolish all immigration control, tear federal law to shreds, and turn our border into a green card factory for illegal aliens. It must be stopped and we will work with Texas to do everything in our power to stop it.

As always, with legal legerdemain and outright lawlessness, the left invents new ways of circumventing our laws, and Constitution in obedience to their toxic ideology of deconstruction and dysfunction…

But here at America First Legal we won’t stand for it. We are proud to support courageous Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in this fight. We will never yield in our efforts to disrupt the hard-left plans of the Biden Administration.
