Party Endorses Cliff Mears
The Richland County Republican Party Central Committee met for the purpose of an endorsement meeting in advance of the May 3rd primary election. The meeting resulted in a unanimous vote to endorse Cliff Mears for Richland County Commissioner and Zoi Romanchuk for State Central Committee. Both Cliff and Zoi have contested races in this election.
“Cliff Mears and Zoi Romanchuk are dedicated Republicans who believe in public service to their community. Given their commitment to the local, state and national Republican Party, Central Committee members felt it was important to offer our support by endorsing them as the best candidates for these positions,” said Megan Whatman, Chairman of the Richland County Republican Party Central Committee.
Cliff Mears will appear on the May 3rd ballot. Zoi Romanchuk's primary election will be scheduled after redistricting issues have been resolved.
The Central Committee also endorsed the candidates in the following uncontested races:
