What to watch and listen to on your AIPAC app this weekend
AIPAC Update
This week, we saw another important achievement in Congress — a direct result of our work together with Democrats and Republicans to keep Israel safe.
In an overwhelming display of bipartisan support, the House of Representatives passed the Stop Iranian Drones Act on Wednesday.
This achievement — passed with a vote of 424-2 — would not have been possible without strong relationships with pro-Israel members of Congress from across the political spectrum. It is a byproduct of your work educating and engaging our lawmakers on the importance of a strong U.S.-Israel relationship.
In the past year alone, Iran and its proxies have used drones to attack American troops, target international shipping and critical infrastructure in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and carry out an attempted assassination of the Iraqi prime minister.
This bipartisan bill — which has now been sent to the Senate — will help stop the Iranian drone threat and prevent Iran and its terror proxies from acquiring more lethal drones that threaten America, Israel and our other regional allies.
Restart CEO Niv Efron, who was wounded as an IDF soldier in 2014 during Operation Protective Edge, sits down with AIPAC to discuss how he kickstarted his life after his injury, and how he now helps other wounded veterans do the same.
Restart is an Israeli non-profit that helps wounded soldiers restart their life journey after physical and/or emotional trauma resulting from their duty.
Wesley Hunt, the Republican nominee for the Texas-38 House seat, sits down with AIPAC to discuss his support for Israel, his trips to the Jewish state and the threat from Iran, as well as his upbringing in Texas and his military background.
The House of Representatives just passed the Stop Iranian Drones Act. This bipartisan bill will help prevent Iran and its terror proxies from acquiring more lethal drones that threaten America and Israel.
Col. (Res.) Miri Eisin gives us an in-depth look at the issue through interviews with experts and key officials.
