John xxxxxx, the very same day their National
Insurance hike hits pay packets across the UK, the Conservatives’ cost of living
Committee is heading off for a fortnight’s break.

They’ve only held one meeting so far.

That’s right - while working people, who have already been hit with record rises
in energy, petrol and food, are struggling to make ends meet, the very people
supposed to be delivering solutions are off on a two week jolly.

In that time, households will fork out £1 billion more in tax.

Britain deserves better.

John xxxxxx, in six days’ time, it’s
polling day in the local elections.

Yes, I'll take the fight to the Tories
[[link removed]]Labour’s message is clear; the Conservatives must bring forward an emergency
budget backing our plans to help all those struggling in the face of this
crisis.

We’ve got a fully costed plan to tackle the cost of living head on:

A windfall tax on record breaking oil and gas producer profits to cut home energy bills . Scrapping the unfair National Insurance rise. Closing tax loopholes instead
of diving into working people’s pockets.

But the Tories aren’t acting - they’re checking out, for two weeks after a
single meeting on the issue.

Next Thursday, we can send them a message they can’t ignore. But we need help to
fund our crucial campaigns - donate to the fight fund today.
