Kevin McCarthy’s Super PAC just announced it would book $125 million in ads in its crusade to flip the House red!

The primary targets of this massive attack ad campaign include Democrats representing districts that Trump carried in 2020, and Matt is one of just a few Democrats in that position. The Super PAC identified these seats as their “top 2022 targets,” and we can only expect even more special interest money flooding our district.
John, Matt is about to see millions of dollars of attack ads running in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and we must prepare with ads of our own to represent Matt’s REAL values – not lies and attacks made up by McCarthy.
We’ve already set a goal of raising an additional $10,000 from our grassroots campaign before the end of the month, but in light of this news, we have to raise that goal to $15,000. McCarthy’s Super PAC is not shy about running negative ads, in fact, they’ve openly said that their buy “is overwhelmingly offensive…,” but even more alarmingly, that “it’s a baseline, and we’re going to keep spending from here.”
John, if $125 million is just the beginning, we can only imagine what they’ll invest to flip PA-08 red. Matt is not only one of just a few Democrats representing a district that went for Trump in 2020, but he’s the ONLY Democrat running for re-election to win a Trump district TWICE. This makes him a top target for these kinds of attacks!
The only way to counter disingenuous attacks funded by special interest groups is by spreading our own message as widely as we can. That’s why we had no choice but to raise our fundraising goal for this month to prepare to counter these attack ads.
