Hi John,
I’m sure that as a supporter of Global Justice Now you’ll want to make sure that unjust profit making by big business is called out. Yesterday, we gathered outside the headquarters of Pfizer to tell the company that its year of record profits has come at a huge human cost.
Pfizer's reputation should be ruined because of its decision not to share its vaccine technology with the global south while pursuing massive profits. But yesterday its shareholders celebrated the company's highest ever income. So we took a stand against Pfizer’s pandemic profiteering. And if you weren’t there in person, you can stand with us by becoming a member of Global Justice Now.

While the company was having its AGM, we brought together allies and activists at Pfizer’s UK headquarters and delivered wheelbarrows of money to show its shocking profiteering doesn’t go un-noticed. Along with allies, health activists and people affected by vaccine inequality we were there to turn up the heat on Pfizer and send a clear message to an industry that refuses to change.
Pfizer has made an eye-watering $37 billion from its Covid-19 vaccine, which lots of us have been grateful to receive. However, 8 in 10 people in low income countries haven’t even had one vaccine. This is because pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer, have refused to share their technology with manufacturers in the global south: all so they can guard their own profits.
Our fight against vaccine inequality doesn’t stop here. We need people like you to help push back against pandemic profiteering. Together, we can build a more democratic health system. Will you join Global Justice Now as a member and donate £3 a month to say no more profiteering?
Yes, I'll join ([link removed])
With your backing we’ll be able to keep mobilising activists and build a movement that makes decision makers sit up and listen. Yesterday we were part of a global day of action, with similar protests in India, Ireland, Bangladesh and the US. Your support would mean we can keep working with our allies and help grow a global movement.
With people like you behind us, we can keep up the pressure on pharmaceutical corporations to share their technology. Your regular donation will also help push for fairer ways of producing medicines and boost support for a new pharmaceutical system through the media, in parliament and on the streets.
The Covid-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on all our lives and highlighted how shockingly unjust the pharmaceutical industry is. But this is also an opportunity for change. With your help today we can take this work beyond the pandemic and win a fairer global health system that doesn’t put profit first. One where life-saving medicines are accessible to everyone, wherever they are.
Thank you for everything you do for our campaigns.
Best wishes
Tim Bierley, pharmaceuticals campaigner at Global Justice Now
