We are 18 days from the May 17 primary election, and this is our last end-of-month fundraising push. I am so thankful for everyone's support to get us to this point.
I really love Oregon. Ever since my days at Oregon Food Bank, I've truly believed in the potential of Oregon to become an amazing place where everyone can thrive.
But a vision like this takes work. It takes grit and determination.
As a State Representative and later as House Speaker, I fought to make things better: raise the minimum wage, expand access to health care for every Oregonian, protect renters from unfair evictions and rent gouging, defend reproductive rights, and pass the Student Success Act to bring $1 billion in new funding to schools every year.
And I'm running for Governor now because this isn't enough. There's more work to do and problems to solve. I want to follow through on the work we started and make sure no one is left behind.
The truth is, there are no quick fixes. Delivering results takes determination, hard work, and good policy. That is what the people of Oregon deserve.
Here's what I promise: I will work hard, I will listen to everyone, and I will spend as much time as possible in communities across Oregon. I will be a Governor for the entire state.
