Democratic Party of Georgia
==================
Welcome.

Thank you for joining the fight for Georgians, John.

In 2018 Georgia Democrats ran an unprecedented, historic campaign. We opened field offices across Georgia, knocked over a million doors, and reached out to voters like you across 10 constituency groups. We hired the first full-time voter protection director in the nation, and our Voter Protection Hotline-- the first program of its kind in Georgia history-- worked 24/7 to help over 40,000 Georgians make sure their vote was counted.

Our hard work paid off. We fought voter suppression in Randolph County, talked to voters in all 159 counties, and filed-- and won-- lawsuits to protect your right to vote. We also picked up 14 seats in the Georgia General Assembly, with candidates who truly represent our state. We elected Congresswoman Lucy McBath, a mom and gun violence advocate, to a seat held by Republicans for the last 30 years.

We had some great wins in 2018, but it's not over -- the fight continues.

On January 14th, Brian Kemp, the architect of voter suppression was sworn in as Georgia's governor. His agenda not only threatens the progress that we've made, but also our values. That's why we have to keep going.

We will continue to fight against voter suppression, talk to constituents across the state, educate and recruit diverse candidates, train citizen lobbyists, and create historic grassroots organizing programs that will bring a blue wave of change. We are not backing down.

John, Georgia is the next battleground state. Welcome to the fight.
