As oil companies continue to rake in record profits, hardworking Americans are struggling to fill up their tank. We need to help working families and hold greedy oil companies accountable.

That's why I introduced the Government Oversight of Unpatriotic Greed in Energy (GOUGE) Act.

The Gouge Act would suspend the federal gas tax, continue to fund highway and transportation projects, offer incentives for states to suspend their gas taxes while placing large fines on oil and gas companies who commit price gouging to discourage corporate greed.

Hardworking Americans need relief. It's time to pass the Gouge Act.
