Let me get personal, John.

I’ve been Matt Cartwright’s campaign manager for many years. I’ve seen him overcome tough odds and win a district Donald Trump won not once, not twice, but three times.

Northeastern Pennsylvania is winnable. We’ve done it before.

But I’m known for being starkly honest, so I will tell you the truth: We’ve never seen a flood of money and outside special interests this fast and furious before.

Here’s another truth: If Democrats lose Matt’s district, it means that our hopes of holding onto the House of Representatives are lost too.

Our Finance Director Blakely, Matt, and myself have sat around the table and drafted a plan to fight back. But it meant raising $10,000 extra dollars before our End-of-Month deadline on April 30. So far, lots of people have stepped up to help. But we still need to raise $3,392 with only days to go.

We can do this. This isn’t my first rodeo, and I know the formula for winning here. But it all starts — it all hinges — on your grassroots support. That’s why I’m asking personally, John: Since our deadline on April 30 is our most pressing in all my time as campaign manager, will you pitch in $10 before then?
