John — A group of concerned voters is challenging Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene’s eligibility to run for office.
A provision of the Constitution, the “Insurrectionist Disqualification Clause,” prohibits politicians from serving in Congress if they violate their oath of office by engaging in “insurrection or rebellion” or giving “aid or comfort to the enemies” of the Constitution.
We need to hear from you on this important issue: Do you think Marjorie Taylor Greene should be disqualified from running for Congress for her role in the January 6th insurrection?
Marjorie Taylor Greene testified in the hearing over whether she should be allowed to run for re-election, where she doubled down on her support for Trump’s Big Lie.
Despite tweets showing she called on people to “#fightforTrump” and her whole-hearted defense of the January 6th insurrection in interviews, Greene claimed she is in no way responsible for the violence that took place and was only asking people to “come for a peaceful march.”
Her lawyer even tried to paint HER as the victim!
Before the judge decides whether Marjorie Taylor Greene can appear on the ballot in this November’s election, we need to hear from you: Do you believe Congressional Republicans who helped incite the January 6th insurrection should be ineligible to run for re-election?
