Mosquito management via bicycles

Starting this week, you may see crew members from Clarke Mosquito on bicycles placing mosquito control products in catch basins along Oswego roads and backyards.

This is also a great time to make sure you don?t have any standing water in your yard that could become a breeding ground for mosquitos. As temperatures rise and rainwater accumulates, mosquitos are on the hunt for cozy places to lay eggs.

Hydrant flushing

Public Works crews will be flushing fire hydrants starting Monday, May 2 through the end of the month. Why release all of that water into the streets? Hydrant flushing clears sediment from the lines and helps ensure proper water pressure to hydrants for emergencies. Look for signs at the entrance to your neighborhood and avoid washing your clothes while crews are working in your area.

Oswego Community Yard Sale

The?Oswego Community Yard Sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4?rain or shine. There is an option to participate in one or both days. Garage sales are great for our community?s environment, promoting reuse and recycling of materials. Please sign up to participate in this year's sale. More information is available here.
