As we announced earlier this week, Gamaliel partnered with the National Catholic Council for Hispanic Ministry (NCCHM)'s 6th annual Catholic Congress on Histpanic Ministry, Raices y Alas, in Washington, D.C.!

Our participation is part of Gamaliel's ongoing effort to deepen relationships within the Catholic Church. This week, our delegation has spent time with Bishops and other Catholic leaders from around the country as we learned about Hispanic Catholic youth, their needs, and their interests as a voting bloc. 

Yesterday, leaders and organizers from Gamaliel of Metro Chicago, Gamaliel National Staff, Fuerzas Unidas, and Quad Cities Interfaith met with Members of Congress about immigration reform. It's our hope that these meetings have made our Members of Congress understand how vital immigration reform is for the future of our country! Today, we're learning how we can go deeper and more effectively organize within our local Catholic parishes.
