Trump tried his best to subvert the will of the voters in the last election. He failed only because a few secretaries of state insisted on doing their jobs.

Now, he has a new plan -- install election officials in key states who will do whatever it takes to put Donald Trump back in the White House. He’s handpicking candidates right now in states like Georgia, Arizona, and Michigan.

But these elections are flying under the radar for most Americans. The American SOS Project is a six-month sprint to stop Trump and his cronies in their tracks, and I need your help -- will you make a donation today to help get this work off the ground?

This November, voters in 27 states will select their statewide election officials. These folks, who quietly keep our democracy working, used to be obscure to most voters. That all changed when Donald Trump tried to bully a Republican secretary of state in Georgia into overturning election results. Our democracy is so lucky that Brad Raffensperger refused to be intimidated.

But because he did, Donald Trump is trying to get him tossed out of office and replaced by an election denier who will help him out the next time around. (That’s not even a secret -- they’re saying this stuff out loud.)

We’re starting The American SOS Project because Democrats need to invest more in these races -- our plan is to take on and defeat Trump’s handpicked candidates for secretary of state.
