On November 12, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and whether the White House properly shut down the Obama-era program that protects certain young undocumented immigrations from deportation. On November 14, in conjunction with the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and the National Association of Counties (NACo), BPC hosted Senator Mo Denis (D-Nev.) and Commissioner Bill Truex of Charlotte County, Fla. The Senator and Commissioner discussed their views on how immigration affects states and counties, as well as ideas for advancing immigration reform at the national level that meets the needs of local communities. The podcast is set to be released the week of December 2nd.
