In a moment I’m going to ask if you can make a contribution ahead of our final grassroots fundraising deadline of the primary, but first, I wanted to explain why this race is so important.

I’m a physicist, minister, and 7th-generation Arkansan running for governor. In just a few short weeks, we have the Democratic primary. After that, it’s full steam ahead toward the November election against Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

This election will set the stage for the future for our state. It will determine if we can expand preschool to all families. Whether we bring affordable broadband for every home. And if we focus on fair economic development focused on creating high wage jobs.

We can win this thing by organizing across the state and connecting with people on a sincere level. I’m ready to win this primary and win in November. But in order to do that, we need to hit all of our important fundraising goals — and this April goal is our final one before the primary. So I’m asking for your support:

I love Arkansas with every fiber of my being, and I’m running for governor to build a better future for everyone who lives here. We all want our children to get a quality education, and we all want access to affordable healthcare, we all want our roads and bridges to get us where we need to go safely.

That’s why, as governor, this is where my vision for the future of Arkansas starts — listening to the concerns of people from across the state and then working diligently to find solutions. I plan on creating opportunity by focusing on helping working families, invigorating our local communities, supporting small businesses, and bridging the rural-urban divide.
