The border is a catastrophe because Pres. Biden won't enforce the law. However, Congress CAN amend our laws to force the President to protect our borders. The situation is dire enough that even Democratic senators are considering how to force the President's hand. CNN calls it "a revolt."

See, John, as you may have heard, Pres. Biden continues to pledge that he will wind down the use of Title 42 at the border. More than 1.6 million illegal immigrants have been turned away because of Title 42. But once it is no longer in effect, the Department of Homeland Security estimates that as many as 18,000 border crossers might come every single day! At that rate, 6.5 million illegal aliens and asylum seekers could come in just the first year!

A few weeks ago, Democratic Senators Mark Kelly (AZ), Joe Manchin (WV), Kirsten Sinema (AZ), and Jon Tester (MT) joined several Republicans to propose legislation to force Pres. Biden to keep Title 42 in place for two months. It's a welcome start. We need your help to grow this revolt, however.

Perhaps you've heard of a little good news from the Supreme Court, but I must emphasize that it's very little: Tuesday, the court heard arguments on a legal challenge that would force the administration to continue Pres. Trump's Remain-in-Mexico (MPP) policy.

Our current laws presume good faith on the part of the administration, so they leave the President much discretion. Even if the Supreme Court rules that Remain in Mexico must continue, the actual policy has been watered down so much by the Biden administration that it will not accomplish that much.

Yesterday (Wednesday), a judge in Louisiana formally ordered the Administration to delay the lifting of Title 42... for only two weeks. We need strong Congressional action to force Biden's hand.

We need more than just the Title 42 legislation; that will simply delay things from getting a whole lot worse.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you things are bad already! But here's just how bad: In just the first half of fiscal year 2022, border patrol has apprehended more than one million illegal aliens. That's about double the number apprehended in the entire years of 2017, 2018 and 2020.

These are not how many illegal aliens were sent back, just how many were caught! Unfortunately, many illegal aliens get caught intentionally, just because they know once they're caught on U.S. soil, it's very hard to send them back. But apprehensions are a decent measure of how many people are coming illegally.

The good news is that America is waking up to the fact that enforcing the laws at the border isn't about being mean to illegal aliens. It's about protecting America's future. It's about jobs, national security, housing costs, our infrastructure, the rule of law.

Pres. Biden's approval ratings on immigration issues are rock-bottom, even among core Democratic constituencies. It's become a topic of discussion on news channels and among columnists that not only working-class Whites, but millions of Hispanic, Asian and Black Americans are leaving the Democratic Party, disgusted with the open-borders extremism.

This is our chance as an organization. A lot of Washington pundits have written immigration off as a conservative issue, but we've always known you can't get anything done in Washington without bipartisan support. So we've been working to keep Democrats, and groups of traditionally core Democratic supporters aware of the effects of massive immigration on the environment, costs, wages and employment.

Now, even Democratic lawmakers are realizing the problems massively high rates of illegal immigration cause. Perhaps they're looking at the polls and they're afraid they'll be held accountable this fall. Or maybe we've actually reached them.

Please take whatever actions you have waiting for you on your Action Board; there are several bills we are promoting, and our Action Board makes sure we get the right messages of support to the right members of Congress at the right time. (We're also urgently pushing to keep immigration expansion out of the America COMPETES Act, as it goes to conference committee.) Then please come back and multiply the force of your action, by helping us help many, many others also reach out to Congress.

We need a win. A win for America. A win for making Washington work the way it's supposed to. We need your financial support.
