Hi John —
For those of you who I haven’t met yet, I’m Ronnie. I’ve been with Lauren’s campaign since 2018 as her campaign manager, and now, as her senior advisor. Right now, our team is preparing for a tough reelection battle this November — I’ll bring you up to speed.
After Lauren won her historic race in 2018 — where she defeated a four-term Republican incumbent and made history by becoming the youngest Black woman ever elected to Congress — she got right to work fighting for our communities in Washington. Since then, she’s had nine pieces of legislation enacted into law, making her one of the most effective members of Congress.
But despite everything Lauren’s done to make progress for our communities, Republicans are more determined than ever to defeat her, flip the House majority, and bring our work to a screeching stop.
The National Republican Congressional Committee named Lauren a top target in this year’s midterm election, and they have raised hundreds of millions of dollars this cycle to attack campaigns like ours.
And on top of that, our district looks quite different following our state’s redistricting measures — meaning that thousands of voters in our district will see Lauren’s name on their ballot for the first time ever. We’ll need even more resources this time around to cut through the noise of right-wing attacks and share Lauren’s message with these new voters, and we can’t do it without you.
So John, I’m personally asking you to pitch in $10, or whatever you can, ahead of our end-of-month deadline on Saturday to help us send Lauren back to Congress this November. We have a tough fight ahead of us, but I’ve seen what this team is capable of, and together, I know we can protect this seat.
