Ilhan for Congress

Huge news, team — President Biden just announced that he’s seriously considering taking action to cancel some student loan debt in the coming weeks!

This didn’t happen overnight. This is what happens when people show up every day for years to organize and demand change. This is a result of us putting pressure on the president to hold true to his campaign promise to cancel student debt and give relief to millions of people being held back by a collective $1.7 trillion in debt.

Delivering on a mandate of bold, progressive change is how Democrats will not only win elections but transform lives and livelihoods for generations to come. From canceling student loan debt to passing Medicare for All, we can pass policies that meet the immediate needs of our communities.

Meanwhile, my conservative primary opponent would love nothing more than to preserve the status quo and lift up special interests. That’s why it’s so important we meet each and every fundraising goal, including our April deadline coming up in two days, to keep pace and out-organize him. But we’re falling 219 contributions short of our daily goal.

Can you add a donation of just $3 before midnight to keep up this momentum? Your contribution will power our work to cancel student debt and enact meaningful progress for working people across the country.

CHIP IN $3

I am one of the 45 million people in America who owes student loan debt. We’re sold on the idea that earning a college degree is the only way to fulfill our potential — but decades later, so many of us are burdened by massive amounts of debt.

Far too many people’s dreams like starting a business or owning a home are put on hold because of student loan debt. And when it comes to putting food on the table or paying off their debt, families are obviously going to choose the former — falling further and further behind on their payments as a result.

That’s why I’ve fought so hard to advance the movement to cancel student loan debt — from introducing legislation in Congress, to meeting with President Biden alongside the Congressional Progressive Caucus to share our concerns, to standing on the picket lines alongside organizers pushing for debt cancellation.

We could soon see significant student debt cancellation, but we can’t stop there. We’ve got to keep fighting until every penny is canceled.

Please, help my team catch up on our fundraising and support our grassroots movement to cancel student loan debt by chipping in $3 — that’s it! — before midnight:
