Hey, John — it's Aarica. If you don't remember, I head up Cori's fundraising team, so it's my responsibility to make sure our campaign has the resources we need to win.
I've been working on our election-year budget over the past few weeks, and I have to be honest, we've got our work cut out for us.
We're going to need this grassroots team's *full* support to re-elect Cori (we don’t accept a single cent from corporate PACs) so that we can go toe-to-toe with the establishment mega-donors backing our opponents.
That means hitting every single fundraising goal we set, and first up is this Saturday's end-of-month deadline. John, please, will you make a $5 donation right now to help hit our $35,000 goal and keep Cori in Congress?
Now that we officially have seven opponents, it's crucial that we have the resources to build a winning re-election campaign, and that's where we need your help.
We have big plans, but we've carefully done the math and $35,000 is the exact amount we need to raise by April 30th to grow our campaign operations this quarter. Here are just some of the things we're budgeting for:
- Office rent to keep the lights on so we have somewhere to work
- Payroll to hire new staff members and grow our team
- Canvassing supplies like clipboards, pens, and stickers
- Printer ink so we can print and send out mailers about Cori’s work and priorities in Congress
- Gas so our volunteers can drive to every neighborhood in Missouri's 1st District to help #GetOutTheVote
- Trainings for our volunteers so they can run phone banks and engage in real, direct conversations with voters about the issues our communities face
- Campaign signs so we can show the strength of our movement on sidewalks across the district
