Friend,

The Senate just got back from recess. That means our senators have until Memorial Day to pass the $555 billion in climate investments before they switch focus to the midterms.

In the next 29 days, we have to do everything in our power to win this last, best chance for climate legislation.

Tell your senators climate must be at the top of the Senate's agenda now by calling today. (We have a script ready for you!)

CALL NOW

Here are seven reasons your senators should act now:

  1. The clean energy transition will fight inflation.
Fossil fuel costs are the leading driver of inflation. Clean energy will bring down costs.

  2. Climate action will disempower petro-fascists.
Clean energy will reduce U.S. demand for Russian oil, insulate the economy from global price shocks, and weaken Vladimir Putin.

  3. Environmental justice investments will serve vulnerable and disinvested communities, and help Democrats deliver on a key campaign promise.
Biden promised the "most ambitious environmental justice agenda ever." These investments are the only way for him to follow through.

  4. Clean energy investments will protect the American economy from future energy crises.
Fossil fuel prices are volatile. Clean energy costs are only going down. These investments would provide stable, affordable energy.

  5. Action is far cheaper than inaction.
Without swift action, the costs of climate impacts in the U.S. are projected to reach $14.5 trillion. We literally can't afford to delay these investments.

  6. We're running out of time to limit warming.
Without serious action now, Democrats will all but guarantee escalating climate disaster for generations to come.

  7. Voters expect more from Biden and Congress.
Failing on climate means discouraging Independents, Black voters, and young voters from showing up for Democrats in the midterms. To regain momentum and voters' trust, Democrats must act.

Democrats are out of time. Failure is not an option. Call your senators right now and demand they put climate action at the top of the agenda—this is it.
