This is why we made three new accessible resources all about masks, why some vaccines need a second shot, and how the virus keeps changing! All resources are available in English and Spanish with accompanying videos.

There are now COVID-19 variants, or different kinds of the COVID-19 virus. The Omicron variant can spread more easily than the original virus, which is dangerous. That’s why we have released this video and fact sheet about the COVID-19 Omicron variant and other variants “What you need to know about the Omicron variant and the COVID-19 vaccine” answers questions like:

In addition to our usual plain language resources, we also have some personal stories to share! Self-advocates from around the country shared with us what it was like to get the COVID-19 vaccine. You can hear from them here. While many of them were worried at first, they knew it was important to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their loved ones.
