Millions are being forced to rely on credit cards and loans just to buy food and other essentials. Personal debt has reached a staggering £217 billion – its highest ever level.
But we know that if we take action together, we can make sure politicians act. We want every party to promise that they will push for urgent action in the next Parliament to:
✋ End rip-off lending by capping interest and charges for loans, credit cards, overdrafts and door-step lending
✔️ Secure a government inquiry into why so little action has been taken
🛑 Put pressure on the Financial Conduct Authority to act
