In just a moment, we are going to ask you to make a contribution to Gavin Newsom’s re-election campaign. Please give us a chance to explain why this request — especially right now — is so important.

Here’s the truth:

As you know, there’s a bill in the legislature that would allow private California citizens to sue anyone who manufactures, distributes, imports, or sells an assault rifle or ghost gun in California.

Its passage is far from guaranteed.

So as we mobilize supporters for the governor’s re-election, we are going to mobilize support for this gun bill.

Because we want to get this bill to Gavin Newsom’s desk.

The far-right and the NRA will fight us. They’ll do everything they can to block its passage.

But if we can mobilize our supporters, we’re gonna get it done. Because if we do, we’ll save lives. And that’s what this is all about. So we’re asking:
