🏃The Training of a Long-Distance Runner🏃‍♀️

"As a long-distance runner, I did not train for sprints but for marathons. Fighting for peace, justice, and democracy is a demanding and continuing challenge. Activism entails walking on union picket lines, protesting tenant evictions, canvassing door-to-door for electoral campaigns, or engaging in other community organizing work (...)

🎵Starbucks Benefit Show May 6🎵

Starbucks benefit concert May 6 at Eyedrum

On Friday, May 6th at Eyedrum, local bands are organizing a benefit show with Atlanta DSA to benefit Starbucks Workers United. Entry is free for Starbucks workers!

🍏Support Apple Workers📱

Workers at Cumberland Mall's Apple store are the first in the country to officially file for a union, potentially covering over 100 workers!

ATLDSA has been in touch with some of the organizing workers at this store, who are requesting that anyone visiting the mall stop by at any time during business hours and offer some words of encouragement for their historic efforts.

The store is set to vote in May, and we will continue to update our chapter members as further developments arise.

If you are interested in supporting local workers or would like to organize your own workplace, reach out to ATLDSA's Labor committee at [email protected] for more information!

Demand Sens. Ossoff and Warnock to Cosponsor M4A

photo of nurses holding protest signs saying

Bernie has made plans to re-introduce Medicare for All legislation this year, and National Nurses United have taken the initiative in asking Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to sign on as original co-sponsors to the bill once it is introduced.

Georgia is currently low on signatures, so please take just a few seconds to sign the petition and share with anyone else who believes that healthcare is a human right!

🍴 Douglas Debs Dinner 🍴
