Americans agree with Arati: we need the Green New Deal.
But Arati's primary opponent, a conservative Democrat, opposes the Green New Deal. He even said, "None of those things are going anywhere."
We can't be afraid of big solutions to big problems.

Climate change is already harming Arati and her neighbors in New Jersey, one of the fastest-warming states in the nation, while corporate politicians do nothing.
The North Jersey Record reports that climate already led to sea level rise, worse flooding, toxic algal blooms, and an increase in disease-carrying mosquitoes and ticks.
And NJ.com warns, “Scientists in the state say that without comprehensive changes, life in the Garden State will be about adapting to a reality where the Jersey Shore is continually a disaster zone, the Pine Barrens are threatened, and inland river flooding brings floodwaters to the Statehouse steps in Trenton.”
We can’t afford to wait. That’s why Arati is running for Congress in support of the Green New Deal.
