First: The Republican Governors Association announced that Rhode Island is one of their top five targets this year. This is shaping up to be a tough year for Democrats across the country. We have to stay on our toes, especially since Rhode Island has only elected ONE Democratic governor in the past thirty years.

Then: Last week, our Republican opponent became the first to go up on TV in this race. She has already poured $500,000 into her own campaign, claiming that she will loan herself “whatever amount is necessary to make this a competitive race.”

Now: We need to raise the resources it will take to win this race. While our wealthy opponents are bankrolling their own campaigns, Governor McKee is counting on support from folks like you to make sure we hit our end of month goal by Saturday at midnight.
