Friend,
We’re excited to share that Fair Fight Action has officially launched our second season of Civics for the Culture, our eight-part video series featuring civics lessons about our government, our history, and the way our democracy functions. Aimed at 18-35 year-olds, with a particular focus on Black and brown communities, Civics for the Culture has been compared to a “Gen Z version of Schoolhouse Rock.”
In an effort to keep young people engaged in our democracy, especially during a midterm election year, Fair Fight Action is speaking to them where they are: online. As such, Civics for the Culture episodes can be found across social media, including YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
Watch the latest episode here, and make a donation if you can, to help us create more content that empowers young Black and brown voters to play a leading role in our democracy.
Hosted by Chelsey Hall, Fair Fight Action’s Head of Media and Brand Partnerships, Civics for the Culture’s second season premiered earlier this month with an episode focused on explaining the role of the state legislature.
In today’s new episode, Chelsey breaks down our three levels of government—Federal, State, and Local—so that young voters know who to hold accountable for policies and programs important to them, from police reform to student debt.
You can watch Episode 2 here. Supporters like you make it possible to launch and sustain programs like Civics for the Culture. Please make a donation if you can today, and help power our work for this critical election year and beyond.
If you’re not able to donate at this time, we completely understand. You can also help spread the word about Civics for the Culture by sharing new episodes with your social networks. Click here to share Episode 2 on Twitter!
