Here’s why these candidates are Bend the Arc’s choices for Congress:



In Texas, Jessica Cisneros is a bold immigration attorney running to unseat anti-choice, anti-labor incumbent Henry Cuellar in a competitive primary runoff that’s less than a month away.



In Florida, Michele Rayner is the first openly queer Black member of the Florida state legislature. Raised by parents in the Civil Rights Movement, Michele knows that “our lives depend on who we elect to office.”



In California, former Assemblywoman Christy Smith is a dedicated public servant, education advocate, and champion of worker’s rights. She has one of the best opportunities to flip a seat from red to blue in a rematch against GOP Rep. Mike Garcia that she only lost by 333 votes last cycle.
