Leftists celebrated St George’s Day on Saturday with their annual issuing of false claims that the Roman soldier of Cappadocian Greek ethnicity was, variously, “Turkish”, “Arab”, and “a migrant worker” in an effort to “own” English patriots.



The fact that England’s patron saint, St George, was not an Englishman is not atypical — Ireland’s St Patrick was British and Scotland’s St Andrew, the first-called of Christ’s apostles, hailed from the Holy Land — but is seized upon every year by left-wingers as a stick with which to beat patriots in general and sceptics of mass migration and multiculturalism in particular.

Drug dealing inmate jailed for further 25 years

A convicted drug dealer who continued to run his criminal enterprise from prison has been jailed for a further 25 years.



Darryl Tawiah, 42, from Southwark in south London, was already serving an 18-year sentence for drugs supply and firearms offences when he was arrested and charged by National Crime Agency officers last year.

Did France get tough on migrants over Easter?

French police have claimed that they were able to prevent at least 600 illegal immigrants from crossing the channel to reach the southern coast of England over the Easter weekend and claimed to have arrested eleven people smugglers as well.



Among the migrants brought back to France were 72 people who were rescued by French authorities in the Channel after reporting to be in a state of distress, the European Union-funded website InfoMigrants reports.
