Good Evening, 

I need to ask for your support, to help make a Mother's Day. Well in this case, a beautiful, caring grandmother who needs all the support she can get. 

This grandmother got a knock on the door in the middle of the night, and opened it to find Child Protection handing over twins. These were her grandchildren, born at 26 weeks and suffering from some health issues associated with being premature. Due to an emergency kinship placement,  they were now hers to look after. 
 
She let them into her home with open arms knowing that she would take good care of them, but the babies arrived with absolutely nothing. No nappies, formula, clothing, linen, toiletries - nothing. Her Centrelink benefits were cut, as she is no longer able to look for work due to caring for the twins full time and taking them to regular medical appointments. She wasn't sure where to turn and felt isolated and alone, with no income, doing her best to support her grandchildren. 

We really need your help today. Will you please stand beside this family by making a donation to our Make a Mother's Day Appeal so we can provide them with all the basic essentials they need?  

Thankfully, this caring grandmother was able to meet with an incredible Maternal Child Health Nurse who quickly reached out to Geelong Mums to ask for help with emergency supplies for the babies. The list includes all the basic essentials - nappies, formula, wipes, toiletries, linen, and clothing for the twins. 

With Mother's Day just around the corner, we are asking for your support so that we can continue providing essentials free of charge, without question to families like this one who really need a helping hand.
