Hi John,

Fox News ran an article and a TV news segment on my proposal for a $30 minimum wage. Shocker: they don’t like it. But you know what? I think if Fox News doesn’t like it, that means I’m onto something! In fact, a CBS News article just today said that “American families need to earn $35.80 an hour just to make ends meet.”

Clearly, $30 should be the floor. Economists from California State University have looked at the historical data and concluded that increasing the minimum wage in the past has not caused inflation or unemployment, contrary to what rightwing corporatist propaganda says.

Increasing the minimum wage would be a win-win for the economy and for workers. I was the first Congressional candidate in the country to call for a $30 minimum wage, and the news is already picking it up. I’m leading on this issue, and I need your help to keep that going.
